Saying Goodbye to Our Magnolia

The beautiful magnolia just in front of the library has been declared a lost cause. The tree has grown with a double trunk and is now starting to experience rot. If we fail to remove the tree we run the risk of having it split and fall on our library. As much as we love the beauty and the shade that this tree provides, we regretfully have to make the choices that protect the building itself. Our ultimate dream is to have a gazebo placed in the tree’s spot at some point in the future. We will be organizing a fund raising campaign to raise money for the gazebo.
