Summer Programs at the Library

Register for Beanstack https://wakullalibrary.beanstack.com/reader365 and Join Mrs. Patty and Mrs. Lauren for  FREE programs for children & families!  During busuness hours, WCPL offers weekly age-specific programs designed to encourage a life-long love of reading.  Look for special guests and their locations and times in the brochure linked below. 

Wondering what programs are appropriate for your kiddos?  Here's the breakdown:

 

Book Bunch Tuesdays I10:00-11:00am This program for 2.5 yrs up to preschool aged children and their caregivers, includes stories, movement, and a craft. Each week's reading selection pairs with our summer theme.

Book Babies Wednesdays I 10:00-11:00am An interactive themed story time and socialization designed for infants & toddlers up to 2.5 yrs, and their caregivers.

Little Readers Wednesdays I1:00-2:00pm This program is for children in grades K through 2nd and features stories and a crafts focused around the summer theme.

Tiny Tummy Time Thursdays I 9:30-10:00am Join us for songs, stories, and interactive

play with tummy time. Please note this class is 30 minutes and intended only for newborns and up to 1 year of age, and their caregivers.

Junior Readers Thursdays I1:00-2:00pm This program is for children in grades 3rd-8th and features books with crafts/activities focused around the summer theme.

Introduction to Coding Wed. June 10th, 17th, 24th & July 8th 4:30-5:30PM Join us for a peek into the world of coding. This is a children's 4-week beginners level introduction to coding using Scratch & Java. Learn basic Java script and build a game. RegistrationisREOUIBEP.

Lego Club June 9th & 23rd I 4:30-5:30PM Lego Club is designed to provide kids with an enjoyable activity that stimulates & develops spatial intelligence. You bring the imagination, we'll supply the LEGOs.

Teen Manga Club See Calendar for dates/times This club is intended for middle and high school aged teens. We'll explore different topics such as manga and anime art, influences (in literature, film & tv), and maybe try a Japanese inspired snack.
